Dear Members,

It is with great sadness that we inform you of our beloved Phillip Duddy’s passing during the early hours of Monday morning. There is not enough words to describe Phillip’s passion of riding his motorcycles and the passion that he shared with us will linger in our minds for a very long time to come. Phillip touched many lives in the Club and he lived for riding his motorcycles and loved going on trips and adventures, many times sharing this with his son Donovan who loves riding as much as his Dad.

Our very sincere and heartfelt condolences to his wife Anne-Marie, his sons Donovan and Alex and other extended family members left behind, we ask that you keep them in your prayers and hearts.

Phillip is the only member who has completed all the challenges of the Club, what an achievement and once again the dedication and enjoyment of riding his motorcycle. I can still recall when he posted on 6 January this year when he undertook a longer circuit ride of 150km travelling through Cullinan, Bapsfontein, Tembisa and home via Bavarian Motorcycles (in his own words) on his scooter. Truly Shared Riding Pleasure. Gentleman in every way. We salute you.

Phillip bravely fought his sickness to the final hour, Until we meet again – RIP.

Phillip’s funeral service will take place on Tuesday 17th May 2022 at St Plus Catholic Church, 660 Pienaar Street, Waterkloof at 11h00. We call on our members who can take the time off to come to the service with your motorcycles and full ATGATT gear where we will form a guard of honour and greet Phillip Good-bye for the final time with a BMW Motorcycle salute. Please rock up as many as possible. I thank you in advance.

We will all meet in the parking area at Crawdaddy’s New Muckleneuck in Middel Street in time to leave for the church at 10h30. If any questions please contact me for more info. I really trust we will have many of you attending.

“Shared Riding Pleasure” for the last time with Phillip.

 Yours in hared riding pleasure,
Tom Nel
