Ok, so after another unfortunate incident I had my GSA written off. I first had to consider whether I still wanted to ride a big bike, but that was a short consideration  So I'll be looking to get a new bike soon - hopefully one I one day get to sell to someone other than the insurance taking it off my hands :D

I've done my duty on BMW bikes - started off with a Dakar, traded it in for a 1200GS, which in most bizarre circumstances got written off. Then I got the GSA, which suffered the same fate :( I also have a G450X in the garage that seems to keep together pretty well given my history with BMW's :D

Now I've been considering some other erm... manufacurers. Most notably KTM and Yamaha. Understandably some events like Bike Fest and GS Challenge will be a no-go for me, but those are only 2 riding opportunities out of many a year that I won't be able to attend, and as much fun it is, I can live with that.

So what are your thoughts? What should I get? Poll added...

Marnus

Now think of the enjoyment you had with the GSA before the accident and answer the question of which bike yourself. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I belive that should settle the matter :+ :+

I live to travel.

OK So a bit OTT but hell, since I changed to BMW bikes, I can see nothing else right now.
But watch this space, Triumph Tiger 800 or the new Honda 1200 Cross Tourer launching this year.
Still waiting to put the C650GT (Think thats what it's called) BMW 650 Touring Scooter in my Garage and then the 1600GTL...Man what a machine!!!
When I sell my BMW R1200RT later this year it will be for a GSA. PS Will be a 2010 Model with ± 25,000 km's Full Spec with ESA ASC Big Top box Heated Grips and Seats, and Handle Bar Raisers....

So GSA got my vote.

Hijack over - Sorry, got carried away
