Our club is all about safety, supportive and responsible riding!

My view is that we should look at the way we’re departing from BP Centurion.
I think that we can improve on this and that there should be a system for example, the ride-leader start-up and proceed , the riders follows in a orderly manner from left to right with the sweep at the end.(not free for all)

My 3cents have already used the 2c

@ PC2E - I'm not 100% sure what you mean with "from left to right with the sweep at the end"?

The only challenge as far as departing that I've noted was the fact that the S & GS groups left about the same time and it may have created the opportunity for someone to leave in the wrong group, and certainly the 2 traffic lights to get on the N1 North. The first one (going on the N1 South off-ramp) takes quite long to go green and only stays green for a short while, so it takes a cycle or 3 to get the entire group on the go.

Perhaps we should get into the habit of parking on the left (looking from the pumps towards the shop), and when a group is ready to depart, they assemble at the right (close to the road)?

Exactly what I meant to say, thanks for helping.

My concern is that we might bump into each other if we all try to leave at the same time

Noticed the same problem. Might be a good idee if the ride leader of the 1st group to go off parks to the left of the shop (Left - looking away from the shop towards the highway) :)
